I have an HP Photosmart M517 digital camera, and when I connect it to my computer Vista finds the drivers and installs the device just fine. Only problem is, there are no pictures! I know there are pictures on there and nothing's corrupted because I can see them just fine in XP.
To clarify, when I run the Picture/Scanner/Fax Wizard thing, it says no new pictures. But when I navigate (Windows Explorer) to the camera itself... still no pictures! Both the internal HDD folder and the SD card folder that contain pictures in XP show up as empty in Vista.
I tried downloading and installing HP's own drivers as well, to no effect.

No Pictures On HP Photosmart
I have the same problem with my Kodak Easyshare camera. I'm thinking about going to get a USB2 SD card reader to pull the photos off.
So far I haven't heard of any solutions or work arounds yet :-/
